Safety

Careful vetting, then careful support

Trust is the product. Here is exactly what we check and what we do when something goes wrong.

Before a helper goes live

  • Identity document verified and recorded
  • Right to work in South Africa confirmed
  • Two contactable references checked
  • Interview completed by our team
  • Criminal check status recorded, with expiry tracking

Childcare requires enhanced approval, including childcare references, child-safety registry checks where applicable and first-aid or CPR status. Pet care adds pet handling experience. A helper who is not approved for a service never appears in that service's search results.

During a booking

  • A one-time arrival PIN confirms the right person is at your door
  • Both parties confirm start and completion
  • Messaging is masked in the app — no phone numbers or addresses are shared before a booking is confirmed
  • A helper's home location is never shown; customers see approximate distance and travel time only

If something goes wrong

Use the safety button or report an issue from the booking. Urgent incidents are acknowledged within ten minutes during operating hours, assigned an owner and a severity, and tracked through to a written resolution. Customers and helpers can both block a person they do not want to be matched with again.

Your information

Vetting documents are stored privately and are only visible to authorised admins through time-limited links. We never store raw card details — payments are handled by a licensed payment provider.
