1 Authority and child information
The booking customer warrants that they are a parent, legal guardian or duly authorised adult and may arrange care and provide necessary information. The child's best interests and applicable law prevail. Only information necessary for safe care may be collected.
2 Approved scope
The booking identifies each child's age group, care times, authorised premises, routines, allergies, medical information reasonably necessary, food instructions, emergency contacts and permitted activities. No carer may transport a child, administer medicine, provide overnight care, take a child off premises, permit visitors or delegate care unless expressly authorised in the booking and permitted by StudeeHelpers policy and law.
3 Handover and authorised collection
The parent must provide accurate emergency and authorised-collection details. The carer may release a child only to a listed adult after the required verification. Any custody restriction must be disclosed with appropriate lawful evidence. The platform is not a custody adjudicator and must refer urgent threats to authorities.
4 Emergency authorisation
If the parent or emergency contact cannot be reached and urgent care is reasonably necessary, the parent authorises the carer and StudeeHelpers to contact emergency services and provide relevant information. This is not blanket consent to non-urgent treatment. Medical costs remain the parent's responsibility except to the extent another person is legally liable.
5 Safeguarding
- No corporal punishment, humiliating treatment, sexual conduct, grooming, private unauthorised messaging, discriminatory abuse, alcohol or impairing substances.
- The carer must report suspected abuse, neglect, missing child, injury or immediate danger through emergency services and safeguarding channels as required by law and policy.
- Cameras must be disclosed and lawful; none may be placed in bathrooms or changing/sleeping areas where recording violates privacy.
6 Screening and limitations
Only helpers with the platform's enhanced child-care approval may accept child-care bookings. Badges report checks completed and dates; they are not a guarantee that no risk exists. Parents retain responsibility to review profiles, instructions and suitability.
7 Parent confirmations
- I supplied accurate allergy, medical, behavioural and emergency information relevant to the booking.
- I identified authorised collectors and any lawful restrictions.
- I understand the limits on transport, medication, visitors, photographs and off-premises activity.
- I authorise emergency contact as described above and agree to the booking-specific care plan.
